Equine Facilitated Coaching
Equine Facilitated Coaching
My mission is to help connect people to their authentic selves,
through facilitating meaningful connections with horses.
Horses relate to your authentic self. If your outward appearance doesn’t align with your inward person, a horse knows it. Horses allow you to be who you are, but they want the real you. They give you the ability to see yourself by reflecting back to you how you are showing up in life. They will subtly challenge you and support you to let go of pretense, fear, unhelpful and unwanted behaviors, and connect you with your authentic self. They help you help yourself to grow, to become centered, connected and real, giving you the opportunity to proactively change your life for the better.
My role is to facilitate the process and help you take the journey, whether you are a seasoned rider or someone who has never before interacted with a horse. I provide safe and supportive environment, to guide clients with specially trained horses (or your own horse) to take this journey together. Through a sequence of exercises, you are guided through a process of self-discovery and deep learning, which translated into deep spiritual insight and connection, and the opportunity for meaningful growth and life-change. Some clients have expressed incredible breakthroughs with their first session.

I've been gifted some pretty neat experiences in my life, and this morning I had another…. It was so cool and definitely helped me be more honest with myself! I've been around horses very briefly a couple times, but Randa
invited me to do a little equine therapy with Randa's beautiful horse Rende. Randa introduced me to the way horses see through any facade and expertly cut through to the truth, responding to your innate, genuine energy of the moment. Randa was amazing at guiding me…. what a cool and enlightening experience. I'm so grateful for the opportunity.
I took the Five Roles of a Master Herder course with Randa along with 5 other women. I went into it with an open mind. I knew it was about observing how horses intermingle in a herd, and the different roles they take on, Sentinel, Dominant, Nurturer, to name a few. As our group watched the horses in a herd environment, an amazing thing started to take place.
We noticed similarities in ourselves, and how we react with people in relationships, and how our actions effect the people around us. It was a life changing experience for myself and the rest of our group. We laughed, we cried, we were able to open up about things with each other.
All while being guided by Randa.
In the end we all became very close, and have remained in contact with each other.
Randa’s workshop taught me about the different relationships among horses, but most of all about myself.
I recommend taking a workshop with Randa, it changed me forever in a positive way.
Yesterday I had the most glorious opportunity to be in a workshop with 3 other women lead by Randa Schnarr at her stable with these magnificent creatures.
The horses taught me so..... much!
They taught me forgiveness.
They taught me mutual respect.
They taught me patience.
They taught me to let go.
Not just the kind of teaching that is an idea or a passing thought but a knowing deep in my bones. Deep in my DNA. Deep from the experience of living in harmony with myself.
Randa facilitates an amazing journey that touches the very core of what it is to be human and to be congruent with where you are. I went in feeling nervous & vulnerable not really knowing why. What I discovered was all the quaking was coming from fractured parts of myself. Parts I have never known were actually a part of me. Parts I had never witnessed before or even knew where in me from my experiences.
Through her guidance & the horses own congruency with who they are I integrated what felt like years of self study & processing with such powerful ease.
Completely. Blown. Away.
This was such an amazing experience! Whether you are a horse person or not, the ability to connect with the horses on a different level was extremely empowering. As someone who has been around horses most of my life, it opened up my eyes to a whole new side of communication people and horses can have together. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to take a step back from the stress of our daily lives as the horses allow you to really find yourself, create a bond, and become grounded with them. Super cool and unique experience anyone would be lucky to have!
I highly recommend this, horse person or not! I had a blast working with Randa and the horses. I honestly learned a lot about myself during this workshop and would do it a thousand(or more) times given the opportunity!
This is wonderful work - I took this workshop with Randa and it was amazing! Connecting with the horses was so healing. And you do not need any prior horse experience to participate. It is an amazing experience. Thank you
I grew up in the horse country of Chester County, Pennsylvania and have been riding and working with horses since I was in second grade. I have an extremely diverse background training horses -- for their racing careers, eventing, dressage, steeplechase, polo, fox hunting, combined driving -- as well as working for professionals who have competed worldwide.
My personal sport is eventing -- sometimes known as combined training. I have been eventing most of my life and I continue to have the privilege to ride and train with members of the U.S. Olympic team, including Phillip Dutton, Boyd Martin, Steven Bradley and Jimmy Wolford. I've also had the opportunity to work with Lucinda Green, six-time winner of Badminton Horse Trials and member of the British Olympic team. With my special thoroughbred partner Rende (Pleasant Rendezvous), I've competed up through the intermediate level. I retrained Rende from his racing career into an international eventing horse, which has been my specialty. In Rende's case, he has taught me as much as I have taught him.
Helping others is my passion. I train horses but I also train riders, helping them to understand that their horses want and need a connection. Once we understand the importance of not only of our physical riding position but also the mental state we bring to riding, as well as the connection with our horses, the magic happens. Witnessing true communication between horse and rider is the biggest gift I receive from my work as a trainer.
This is why I took the step of becoming a certified Equine Facilitated Coach -- so that I can continue helping others, whether riders or not, to grow through connection with horses. After two years involving intensive study and practical experience, I am now a certified Eponaquest Instructor, Master Herder Instructor and Sentient Communication Instructor. With this new set of skills, combined with my years of working as a trainer, I am now able to introduce others to the wisdom of the horse -- even those who might not imagine themselves as horse people -- through small group workshops as well as one-on-one sessions.
